About Me
I began my journey into yoga teaching in 2018 after completing a year-long 200-hour Ashtanga-Vinyasa teacher training with Jonathan Francis Thompson at Yoga London. Combined with my studies in psychology, yoga quickly became more than just a physical practice — it became a way of understanding the mind, the breath, and the importance of living in the present moment.
For several years I taught in London, sharing dynamic Vinyasa classes alongside slower and more restorative practices. Over time, however, I felt a growing pull toward something quieter — more space, more sunlight, and a deeper connection to nature.
In September 2024, I made the decision to relocate to The Gambia in search of a slower rhythm of life. What began as a personal life change soon transformed into something I never imagined when I first started teaching yoga: creating oceanfront yoga retreats on the Gambian coast.
Today I spend most of the year here hosting retreats and welcoming people from around the world to practice yoga beside the ocean. Practicing outdoors, with the sound of the waves in the background, has deeply influenced the way I teach. My classes blend strength and softness — combining Vinyasa flow, mindful movement, breathwork, restorative practices, and space to simply slow down and breathe.
In 2025, I trained in Aerial Yoga in London and later brought the practice back to The Gambia. I now teach both mat-based and aerial yoga classes on the oceanfront deck, and incorporate aerial practice into my retreats as a playful and supportive way for students to explore movement, strength, and relaxation.
Alongside yoga, I also offer private Reiki therapy sessions by the ocean, both during retreats and as individual sessions, creating space for deeper relaxation and energetic healing.
Looking back, I never imagined that teaching yoga would lead me here — creating a space by the ocean where people can step away from busy lives, reconnect with themselves, and experience the quiet transformative power of yoga.
